Highlights from 2019

One of our favorite pre-tour concerts, this sunset performance took place at the top of the Snow Summit resort. The kids' favorite part was riding the lift with their instruments!

Our first concert in Italy was along the Tiber River in Rome, at an annual summer festival called 'Lungo Il Tevere' or 'Along the Tiber'. It was the most lovely opener to begin this concert tour!

A necessary part of touring Italy was transporting ourselves and our instruments to each venue. The streets of Italy can be narrow, so we were often dropped off quite a ways from the venue, and we all shared the work of getting musicians, instruments, and equipment where they needed to be.

One of the many cultural stops during our Tour of Italy last summer was the visit to the Spanish Steps. We were awed constantly by the beauty everywhere we ventured!

A bike ride around Lake Como was definitely a highlight of the Italy tour! Director Sharon Rizzo and one of our amazing parents, Ramona DeMarco, with George Clooney's house in the background! This resort town was refreshingly uncrowded, and offered us many opportunities to learn about the unique culture of the area, which is very close to Switzerland.

One of our first pre-tour fundraisers to help us on our way to the Italy Tour! The kids played a fun mix of music and a great time was had by all. A fan favorite was the finale: "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin, arranged for strings. 

Another special concert at this beautiful and expansive venue!  We played sacred and classical music to an rapt audience, and enjoyed meeting so many from this supportive community.

We love performing at this stunning church in the pines in the lovely town of Lake Arrowhead, nestled in the mountains of Southern California. 

DOVES is a local nonprofit that helps victims of domestic abuse. They do so much for so many in our community, and we were happy to help them raise funds so they can continue and expand their life-changing services.

This concert to raise funds for our local hospital was made even more memorable by the amazing Pasquale Esposito. We were honored to open for this world-class tenor!

University of Redlands Historic Chapel

This was a moving and memorable night for everyone. There wasn't a dry eye in the house as the musicians from RYS and MTSC joined forces to play patriotic music honoring those who serve our country, both past and present.
